2025 FIREWORKS ANNUAL REPORT

FIREWORKS-RELATED FATALITIES AND NEISS ESTIMATE OF U.S.
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT-TREATED INJURIES IN 2025

The American Fireworks Standards Laboratory (AFSL) has released its 2025 Fireworks Annual Report, providing a comprehensive analysis of fireworks-related fatalities, emergency department-treated injuries, safety trends, and regulatory enforcement activities in the United States. Drawing from U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) data, the report examines key findings from 2025, including injury and hospitalization trends, misuse factors, illegal fireworks concerns, and AFSL’s ongoing efforts to improve consumer safety through independent testing and standards development.

Following the discontinuation of the CPSC’s annual fireworks injury report, AFSL continues this important public safety resource, offering data-driven insights for industry professionals, regulators, public safety officials, and stakeholders committed to safer celebrations.
